MS Pipes. MS Pipe and MS Tube refers to Mild Steel Pipe or a Mild Steel Tubes. Mild Steel (MS) pipes are manufactured using low carbon (less than 0.25%) steel. Due to low carbon content the pipes do not harden and are easy to use.
What are the classes of MS pipes?
Standard Pipe: There are three different types of standard metal pipes – welded (ERW Pipe), seamless pipe, and galvanized pipe. They represent 10% of all tubular products.
Classes of MS pipe
‘A’ class is a light class of MS pipe, ‘B’ class is a medium class, and ‘C’ class is a heavy class. Generally, ‘B’ class of MS pipe is sufficient for most HVAC projects across India. However, in certain instances depending on the environmental and load conditions, the C class of MS pipe is chosen.
